It’s that time of year again, when every singer awaits that one important phone call asking them to sing the theme tune for the next hotly-anticipated Ramadan TV drama!
Last year, Sherine Abdel Wahab made Ghada Abdel Razek’s “Hekayet Hayat’s” (Hayat’s Story) theme song “Mashaer” (Feelings) super popular; it was even bigger than the drama itself!
This year, Syrian superstar Asala beat out her competition to Ghada’s Egyptian TV drama “Al Sayidah Al Ula” (The First Lady).
Turns out, this was Ghada’s surprise for her fans all along!
Other singers joining in the “theme tune fun” are Lebanese singer Elissa, who will be lending her voice to the Syrian romantic drama “Law” (If), and Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury who might apparently be singing the theme song for “Seeret Hob” (Love Story), starring Lebanese actress Cyrine Abdel Nour.
