Iraqi Transport Minister Ahmed Murtada announced Wednesday that 35 countries intended to resume regular flights to Iraq, which has been under international sanctions since its 1990 invasion of Kuwait, reports said.

Murtada, who is on an official visit to India, was quoted by Iraq’s satellite television channel as saying that he had asked Indian officials to open an agency within the Indian Air Company with a view to resuming regular flights between the two countries – Albawaba.com
