IslamiQ, the world's first finance and investment portal synchronized with Islamic principles, has announced its readiness to deal with all Zakah applications on-line which was launched recently by the company.

The first of its kind on the internet, Zakah Payment Gateway on the internet seeks to provide Muslims with comprehensive information about Zakah, which will assist them in understanding the significance of this pillar of Islam. Furthermore, the service through the "Zakah Calculator" will help ensure that donors pay the correct amount of Zakah, as well as allowing them to send their donations directly to a charity of their choice, according to a press release.

Hasnita Dato' Hashim, CEO of the IslamiQ Group, said,” this new service gives Muslims the opportunity to pay Zakah to a charity of their choice via the IslamiQ Zakah Payment Gateway. IslamiQ is fast becoming the essential global site for all Muslims, with offices in London, New York, Kuala Lumpur and Kuwait."

This service is being launched in conjunction with a range of approved charity partners, which include Islamic Relief, Muslim Aid, Interpal, Muslim Hands, Al-Muntada Al-Islami (UK), AMPRO (Singapore), Africa Muslim Agency (Kuwait) and Medrasa Al Cezin (Bosnia).

This is the first time that Muslims will be able to choose from a range of charities on a single site, thus enhancing choices for donors and opening up new sources of donations for charities by providing global reach, said the statement.

The service will offer in-depth coverage of urgent campaigns and appeals undertaken by each of the partner charities. It is thus intended that the site will become a key focus for those who are involved in and conscious of the requirement for relief work and investment in the global Muslim community – Albawaba.com
