The Saudi Minister of Commerce, Osama Jafar Faqih, said that the number of operating companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands at 10,500. The total capital invested in these enterprises is estimated at 222 billion Saudi Riyals ($59.2 billion), reported Al-Hayat . 98 of the enterprises are joint stock companies with a total capital of SR 126 billion ($33.6 billion), operating in the agricultural, industrial, trade and services sectors.
