The Head of the Investors Association in the 10th of Ramadan City Mahmoud Solaiman said that the number of manufacturing plants in the industrial region will reach 1,400 by the end of 2001. Total investments into factories in the 10th of Ramadan City are expected to reach 21 billion Egyptian Pounds (five billion dollars) by the end of 2002, which constitutes 70 percent of the total investments in Egyptian industrial estates.
