Dubai's land transactions posted a significant decline of 10.38 per cent last year as a result of growing prices and waning buyer enthusiasm.
However, the total value of land sales soared to Dh15.588 billion, up 35.8 per cent year-on-year, mainly due to the booming prices. According to the Land Department, total number of land deals went down in 2005 compared to 2004, when Dubai witnessed a record surge in land sales valued at Dh11.58 billion.
