345 new factories to open in Egypt in 2001

The Head of the Investors Association in the 10th of Ramadan City, Mahmoud Solaiman, revealed that 345 new factories are planned to open in the industrial zone during 2002. Solaiman estimated the total investments in the projects at six billion Egyptian Pounds, reported Al-Gomhuria. The Egyptian official added that the new projects will cover various industries including textile, paints, leather, plastic, cars, raw materials and electrical equipment. — (menareport.com)
