Accor to manage the Mercure Grand Hotel & Residence Jumeirah Lake

Accor Middle East confirms that it has signed an agreement with Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saif Al Nahyan, to manage the new AED 250 million Mercure Grand Hotel and Residence Jumeirah Lake.

 

The spectacular 33-storey tower will contain 357 units including 269 rooms and 88 serviced apartments. The modern 5 star property will also have significant leisure facilities, conference and meeting spaces and F&B outlets.  Mercure Grand Hotel and Residence Jumeirah Lake, will be located in the new upscale Jumeirah Lake residential and business district close to Dubai Marina, Internet City and Media City.

 

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in March 2006 with a planned completion date of March 2008. The hotel is expected to open to the public in May 2008.

 

Dr. Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saif Al Nahyan, “Accor has been chosen because the company is an excellent strategic partner for part of our investment platform”. He added “beside Sofitel Agadir & Sofitel Marrakeche in Morocco, Mercure Grand Hotel and Residence Jumeirah Lake in Dubai is the third hotel to be managed by Accor”.

Accor, one of the world’s largest hotels and services groups, is committed to a significant regional expansion plan that is expected to at least triple the company’s regional base over the next four years alone from 18 hotels with 3500 rooms to 52 hotels for an excess of 12000 rooms.
