Acer Middle East reports robust growth for 3Q 2003

In the third quarter of this year, Acer Computers Middle East accelerated its sales activity to record more than 300 percent growth in the overall hardware market. The boost in sales propelled Acer to be ranked number three in the market – up from its sixth ranking for the same period last year, according to a company press release.  

 

Growth during the same period of time was also strong for Acer in the desktop market. Acer's grip on the desktop market in the UAE grew from 2.7 percent in the third quarter of last year to 9.5 percent this year. Holding the third position in the desktop market, Acer recorded almost 240 percent growth on the same time last year.  

 

Strong development was also recorded by Acer in the mobile segment. With an almost 470 percent increase on results from the same period last year, Acer moved from number five in the market to number four. Similarly, Acer moved to number four ranking in the server market – up from number five on the previous year.
