Dubai's Al-Choweifat Trading, which deals in marble, ceramics and minerals, has unveiled plans for a new 1.5 million Emirati dirham ($408,000), 300-square meter showroom to be opened on the emirate's Salahudin Street.
The company announced the plans at the Glass, Ceramics, Minerals and Mining (GCMM) trade show, which ends a three-day run at the Dubai World Trade Center on Tuesday night, January 29. "Demand is so strong we predict a doubling in turnover within a year," stated Hassan Mohammed, managing director of Al-Choweifat Trading, a joint venture with Iran's Tooba Group
Meanwhile India's Electro Magnetic Industries, which manufactures and supplies electro magnetic separators and vibratory equipment, said it has an order show intake of around $62,000 having achieved a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market breakthrough at GCMM, according to a company press release.
Making their Middle East debuts at the show are the Italian glass-processing machinery and accessories suppliers' association (GIMAV) and The Canadian Association Of Mining Equipment and Services For Export, the national voice of Canada's mining industry.
South Africa's Council for Geoscience geological organization, is also at GCMM in a bid to develop ties between the Gulf's burgeoning mining sector and the South African Development Community (SADC) countries. GCMM is organized by International Expo-Consults (IEC). — (menareport.com)
