ALBAWABA - Renowned American actor Giancarlo Esposito took the internet by storm after online reports claimed that he had converted to Islam after filming '7 Dogs' in Saudi Arabia. 

According to several reports, the news was confirmed by Saudi Minister of Entertainment Turki Al-Alsheikh. Esposito is best known for starring in beloved series such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, where he played Gus, The Boys and Ubisoft's Far Cry 6.

The Saudi official further stated that the actor recited the Shahada (the Islamic declaration of faith) while filming 7 Dogs, an action-adventure movie starring popular actors from across the globe, including Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Monica Bellucci, Martin Lawrence and Salman Khan. Despite a promising cast of actors, the movie currently sits at a 5.5/10 rating on IMDB.

As news of his conversion flooded social media, a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) captured Giancarlo Esposito praying inside a mosque. 

Esposito's conversion sparked a wide variety of reactions on social media. One user social media user wrote, "He won’t sell drugs anymore, no more more killing. Just kidding. May allah bless him and make his journey easy."
