As a result of the increase in demand for cooling systems and air conditioning services, Al Qudra Holding along with SKM, a leading cooling and air-conditioning company in UAE, and Emirates Relations for Export and Import services, have announced launching a new subsidiary on 10th of November, 2006. The new subsidiary, SKMQ is a joint venture between the three companies and shall specialize in manufacturing air conditioning equipment through their factories in various countries.
“We are today launching SKMQ to ensure that the demand for the air conditioning services linked to the construction boom in the region is met.” said Eng. Salah Salem Bin Omeir Al Shamsi, Chairman and Managing Director, Al Qudra Holding. “With SKM and Emirates Export and Import Services as our strategic partners, we are sure that we shall be providing the latest and best services related to that sector.”
SKMQ is set to build the first operational factory in Musafah area. The facility, to cover more than 45,000 sqm, is expected to produce 5000 air handling units, 30,000 fan coil units and 500 chillers during the first year of operations. The production is expected to increase at a rate of 20% annually up to five times after the fifth year of operation.

SKMQ shall also specialize in marketing, distribution and sale of all types of equipment and machinery, including spare parts and maintenance services associated with the cooling services. It shall also concentrate on owning and managing the development and operation of factories for production of all air conditioning & refrigeration equipment, machinery and spare parts in various countries.
