Algeria has recently started building a new $10 billion commercial zone about 100 kilometers from the capital city, reported Al-Hayat . The zone, which will create 500,000 new employment opportunities, is expected to become the country’s number one business district. Chairman of the Khalifa Group and the Khalifa Airlines Company, Rafiq Khalifa, stated that the new project, led by President Abdul-Aziz Boutafliqa, will change the economic situation of Algeria. A number of international engineering consulting firms participated in the planning of the new zone. — (menareport.com)
