The international contribution to the locust fight remains "insufficient” to stamp out its danger in the region, Algeria's Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Said Barkat stressed Monday in Algiers.
According to APS, the Minister stressed that out of $100 million needed to the fight, according to FAO forecasts, just $30 million have been collected, of which 15 million in promises.
