American Petroleum Institute data release on Thursday showed crude stocks last week fell by 12.012 million barrels very much larger that expected.
Domestic crude inventories ended last week at 278.7 million barrels, the lowest since March 1976, API data said. The data are for the week ended Friday 16.
NYMEX crude oil futures jumped up in overnight Access trade. At 1653 ET, NYMEX Apr WTI crude was up 50 cents at $29.03 a barrel, while Mar heating oil was up 89 points at 75.00c a gallon. Mar gasoline was up 60 points at 83.75c per gallon.
