The war in Iran started on February 28 when the United States and Israel launched a surprise attack targeting Tehran and killing the country's former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
On March 7, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire deal with Iran, and the deadline ends April 21-22, with world leaders anticipating whether the truce will be extended or collapse and the war would resume if peace talks in Pakistan's Islamabad fail to reach a breakthrought.
A new round of talks is expected this week. However, Iran said it hasn't made any decision regarding its participation in the peace negotiations, triggering fears that the truce will collapse and the war will resume.
