Arab Economic Council to set up information and telecommunication security organization

The Arab Economic Unity Council is planning to set up an Arab organization to facilitate information and telecommunication security, valued at 24.4 million Saudi Riyals ($6.5 million) in capital, reported Al-Watan . The Secretary General of the Council, Ahmed Jweily, stated that the organization would transform the Arab information technology community from a consuming to a producing sector. It will help the sector to produce and sell information and telecommunication protection and security systems. Jweily added that the goal is a precondition to increase the free flow electronic information in the Arab World. — (menareport.com)
