ATCO completes Algerian contract for In-Salah Gas Project

The European division of ATCO Structures has completed manufacturing and delivery of a facility for the In-Salah Gas Project, jointly operated by the local BP Exploration and Sonatrach, Algeria's state oil and gas company. The temporary facilities will accommodate over 1,000 people in four different construction sites across Algeria.  

 

The contract included the supply of living accommodations, dormitories, kitchen/dining, recreation, offices, warehouses, maintenance buildings and clinics, along with electrical, mechanical and civil services. The project was manufactured within four months in ATCO Structures' Budapest, Hungary and Diboll, Texas plants, and transported by sea to Algeria. JGC-KBR Venture will complete site installation.  

 

ATCO Structures was awarded the contract by M.W. Kellogg Ltd., who is jointly owned by JGC Corporation and Kellogg Brown Root. Kellogg Brown Root is an international, technology-based engineering and construction company, which provides a full spectrum of industry-leading services for public infrastructure and to the hydrocarbon, chemical, energy, and forest products industries.
