Baghdad municipality has announced that it was agreed with officials at the World Bank to provide additional support to the amount of US$ 50 million. In a press release, Baghdad municipality added that Alaa Mahmoud Altamimi, Baghdad mayor, has briefed the Bank with the situation of the city, mainly in fields such as water and energy.
He explained, according to <i>Azzaman</i> newspaper, that the Iraqi capital needs an assistance in order to improve its services for residents.
