Works to reconstruct Iraq's sewage and water facilities are continuing in full swing. Just recently a local newspaper reported that the works in at least 10 sewage stations in Baghdad's Al-Karradah district were completed. The costs of these projects were put at about $25 million.
It should be noted that Iraqi water resources minister, Lotfi Jamal Rashid said that his ministry’s budget for 2005 is 352.5 Billion Dinar. He said he was optimistic about the ministry capabilities to implement water projects in the various Iraqi provinces.
