Bahraini families who live on the same piece of unclaimed land for 40 years could soon be granted full ownership, The GDN reported on Sunday. The proposal was submitted to parliament by Islamic Bloc MPs and would shave 20 years off the current waiting time.
According to the paper, at present residents have to live on the same piece of unclaimed land for 60 years before it officially becomes their property.
