The Northern Municipal Council has proposed to the Bahraini Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture to purchase private plots for school and housing projects in the Malkiya village.
The village needs schools and housing units as it does not have even one school, councillor Ameer Sayed Salman said, according to the Bahrain Tribune.
The Ministry of Works and Housing has accepted to own the land for future projects in the village.
