The Hidd Industrial Area could soon be privatized in blueprint plan taken up by the Bahraini Ministry of Industry, it was revealed Wednesday.

“We are in the process of finalizing a management agreement with the highly reputed Irish Development International (IDI) authority to develop the new industrial area in Hidd,” the Minister of Industry, Dr Hassan Fakhro said, according to Bahrain Tribune daily.

He was speaking during the hand-over ceremony of the industrial area. The project was formally given to the ministry by the Ministry of Works and Housing.

“This concludes phase one of the new industrial area consisting of 250 hectares land out of total of 750 hectares,” he said. “The project will attract foreign investment because of its state-of-the-art installation and infrastructure development, power, gas supply and advanced network of roads and communication services. These facilities are sufficient for industrial and foreign investments,” he said. (menareport.com)
