Bahrain plans to spend BD2 billion on housing over the next 10 years, according to a report submitted to the United Nationsand cited by GDN.
This compares to a total housing expenditure of BD743.5 million between 1976 and 2002.
The BD2bn will cover the costs for the construction of four new towns, which will be located in East Muharraq, in the north of Bahrain, East Sitra and west of Hamad Town.
