Bahraini citizens are expected to pay less to own their housing units. According to the Bahrain Tribune, the Bahrainis will pay just the construction cost, the Kingdom's Minister of Housing and Works, Fahmi bin Ali Al Jowder, has told the Parliamentary Public Services and Environmental Committee.
He added that as part of the gesture of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the cost of the land wouldn’t be included in the monthly payments for the housing units. Al Jowder stressed the government was keen to solve the housing problem by launching as many projects as possible.
