Barista brings Italian coffee to the UAE

Barista Espresso has opened the doors to its first full service coffee shop in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Dubai's Al-Ghurair City. 

 

Barista is a joint venture between the UAE's Star Retail, part of the Al-Ghurair Group and KAPICO Holdings of Kuwait, which is part of the Al-Ghannam Group.  

 

With more than 400 billion cups of coffee consumed each year, coffee is second only to oil on the commodities market, and is the world's most popular beverage.  

 

Barista was founded in 1997, and is now part of the Tata Group. Barista was conceptualized to provide the very finest coffee, using the know-how of Venetian roastmasters using only the finest Italian roasted Arabica coffees. Barista operate over 100 outlets in India and Sri Lanka and has now made its entry in the Middle East. — (menareport.com)
