Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (Gasco) said on Tuesday it had awarded the American company Bechtel a $1.458 billion contract to build and put in commission a giant gas plant in the United Arab Emirates.
A press release, cited by AFP, said that the project would treat 36.8 million cubic meters of natural gas daily to produce some 125,000 barrels of condensate and 12,000 tons of liquefied natural gas.
The project, named Onshore Gas Development Phase III, will be managed by Bechtel's London office and is to be completed within just over three years.
