Boeing has offered its new 767T-T tanker planes to the United Arab Emirates and is targeting other Middle Eastern countries, a company official said at the Dubai Air Show.

The UAE airforce could buy two or three of this aircraft, Mark Bass, Boeing General Manager for business development in the Middle East, Africa and the Americas told the show's Flight Daily News. Officials at the Boeing stand confirmed the information.

Bass said Saudi Arabia and Egypt could also opt for the 767 T-T as they seek to replace their old fleet of tankers. Boeing will also offer to upgrade the avionics of the C-130 Hercules transport planes already in operation in the region. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait and the UAE are the main C-130 operators in the Middle East.
