Apple is reportedly working on developing its own proprietary display technology, that could boost the devices battery life.
A recent report from Bloomberg reports that the US company, famous for making their own chips for smartphones, has opened up a secretive facility in Taiwan where it is working on screens for iPhones, iPads and other devices. The company has also apparently advertised for positions at the new facility. The rumored screen technology will be able to save on battery life. According to sources at the Apple facility, Apple wants to make its screens thinner, lighter, brighter and more energy efficient, thus reducing the strain on the battery. There are also rumors that Apple may switch to organic LEDs, which could massively save on power consumption.
It might take a while to be finalized, but Apple is working in the right direction at a much quicker pace. This is great news to all of the Apple users, who often worry about the battery life of their devices.
