Gas detection equipment manufacturer BW Technologies Ltd. recently established a new sales office in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The new office will be responsible for BW's permanent representation in the region and for managing its sales distribution network in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria.
BW's international sales team has been marketing products that detect hazardous gases in industrial and commercial environments to the Gulf for the past four years. BW's products are used in the regional upstream and downstream petroleum industry, including drilling and production platforms, refineries and gas liquefaction facilities.
Established in 1987, BW Technologies is a public company trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange with offices in Europe, America and Canada. Fiscal 2001 earnings amounted to $2.84 million and revenues were $27.8 million, according to a company release.
