Comtrust, the business unit of the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) recently staged a comprehensive seminar program in Dubai today, highlighting the benefits of dedicated Internet hosting.

Talking to over 70 representatives from the public and private sector, leading industry experts from Comtrust outlined issues regarding reliability, security, 24X7 support, performance services and Internet bandwidth. To highlight local business issues, Comtrust customers, Rotana Hotels and the Department of Finance also presented their web hosting experience to the attending delegates.

Combining both technical and business perspectives, the seminars are designed to promote the values of Internet hosting in the region, a market that is still in its infancy, compared to advances occurring in the industry abroad.

In recent years, many companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East have been using hosting facilities overseas. However, due to significant financial investment from Etisalat, state-of-the art ehosting facilities now exist in the UAE. With the Internet Data centers, technical resources and local experience in place, Comtrust can provide a competitive, cost-effective alternative to hosting in the US and Europe.

Comtrust was launched in January 2000 to fill the gap in the market for a secure e-commerce infrastructure provider. Through a comprehensive line of e-commerce products and services, Comtrust can cater to e-commerce customers' needs, offering them a one-stop-shop.

Comtrust provides e-commerce infrastructure services and e-commerce applications services both in the areas of Business-to-Business and the Business-to-Consumer segments, in the UAE and in the Middle East region. The suite of e-commerce infrastructure services include online electronic payments, digital certificates based security solutions, hosting services and e-retailing solutions. — (menareport.com)
