Director General for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al-Mutaiwee invited Russia to establish industrial production centers in the Emirates as a means to expand sales to the Middle East Markets and beyond.
He mentioned that Dubai supplies markets of 1.5 billion consumers, and it is possible for the industrial establishments in the Emirates to export their goods to these markets.
The Director General of the Dubai Chamber met with Nickolai Liputnikov, the President of Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is also a member of the board of Directors of the Russian Chambers Federation. Al-Mutaiwee mentioned that the business establishments in the Emirates appreciate Russia potentials as a source of raw materials, production and industry. He invited Russia to send marketing delegations to the Emirates, and to participate in the international exhibitions held in Dubai to promote their products, and expand the Russian share in the regional markets supplied by Dubai.
Trade with Russia through Dubai is worth around 400 million Emirati dirhams ($108 million) a year, of which Dh 300 million is for re-exports from Dubai to Russia. — (menareport.com)
