ALBAWABA – DeepSeek, the Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, is officially making its way into Chinese homes as multiple home appliance companies adopt the chatbot and its operating system.

Multiple Chinese home appliance brands and companies have announced the adoption of DeepSeek's artificial intelligence (AI) models, including those for TVs, refrigerators, and robot vacuums.
Notably, DeepSeek has been experiencing significant growth due to its advanced models, great performance, and low cost.
The new artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot faced significant opposition from the United States upon its launch, as it was released with advanced features that outperform both ChatGPT and Llama.

Previously, the company claimed that its new model outperformed many well-known AI models on the market, which are typically only accessible via API. DeepSeek even surpassed ChatGPT, a generative AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, in US App Store downloads.
DeepSeek in TVs, fridges, and vacuum cleaners
As multiple Chinese home appliance companies adopt DeepSeek’s system, the artificial intelligence (AI) model will be integrated into TVs, refrigerators, and vacuum cleaners used in Chinese homes. Notably, sources revealed that the company is currently working on its new R2 model.
Among the Chinese home appliance companies that will feature DeepSeek in their products are Haier, Hisense, Huawei, and Tencent.
"The device ‘vacuum cleaner’ will be able to comprehend complex instructions such as 'Gently wax the wooden floor in the master bedroom but avoid the Legos,” stated Liu Xingliang, an industry analyst.
