Dr. Ibarhim Salih, the vice president of the Iraqi council and
president of the program for the reconstruction of Iraq, has requested the
allocation of US$13 million for the implementation of development projects
at Sinjar area. Dr. Salih revealed that these projects include the
connection of 11 housing complexes to the road system, providing purified
drinking water and construction of schools and houses for young
families.
Dr. Salih added, according to <i>Al-Ahli</i> newspaper, an amount of US$
600,000 was allocated to build and repair police stations in order to
maintain law and order in the area.
