Dubai: 1000 Porsches sold

Al Nabooda Automobiles, the exclusive Porsche importer for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, recently became one of the very few single Porsche Centres in the world to sell 1000 Porsches on a 12 months basis. The dealership, which started operations way back in 1988, reached this exceptional landmark by generating a surging increase of 34% in 2005 sales compared to 2004.

“What makes this achievement even more enviable is that the average sales volume of bigger Porsche Centres in Germany is around the 500 units per annum mark” said Mr. Hans Georg Brune General Manager Porsche (Al Nabooda Automobiles). “It is a clear indication that our investment in market research and state-of-the-art facilities has paid off,” he added.

While the year 1988 saw 9 vehicles being sold, today it has crossed the coveted four figure mark. Going by their track record for growth, one can safely say that next year will produce even more spectacular results, and sure enough, the company has set its sights on a high sales increase for 2006.

In order to fulfil the rapidly increasing after-sales demand, Al Nabooda Automobiles will operate as of January 2006 in two working shifts, which will increase the vehicle trough put capability at the Service Centre by 100% from the average 45 vehicles to 90 vehicles on a daily basis.

Mr. Walid Abed, the owner of the 1000th Porsche delivered by Al Nabooda Automobiles at their Sheikh Zayed Road’s showroom, is thrilled to be part of this special landmark. “Porsche is much more than a car, it’s an experience. Everything about it is unique, so to think that I am the owner of the 1,000th Porsche sold this year adds to the special feeling. I will definitely remember it, and remind other Porsche owners about it too!!” said an obviously excited Mr, Abed.
