Dubai Cable Company (Private) Ltd. (Ducab) crossed Dh 500 million in sales. Ducab sales reached Dh 530 by the end of 2003, representing a 22 per cent increase over the preceding year.

Colin Paskins, Managing Director, Ducab, attributed this rise to the hard work and dedication of the company’s employees and to the support rendered by the company’s customers, agents, and suppliers. "This achievement marks the beginning of a new era for Ducab. We have crossed the psychological AED 500 Million barrier and are now eager to embrace new challenges,” he said.

Farid Mohammed Ahmed, General Manager– Sales and Marketing, Ducab said “The fact that more than three fourth of our sales came from our homeland highlights the trust, recognition and acceptance of Ducab as a quality company. With the current trend, ongoing expansions and expanding customer base, Ducab is well on its way to achieving if not exceeding its target of Dh 800 million sales by 2006.

In addition to the record sales, the year 2003 stands out for a host of other achievements by the company, Ahmed said. Among these are Ducab’s foray into new markets, including Iran, India, Yemen, Jordan, East Africa, and the Levant. (menareport.com)
