A Dubai Maritime City team will participate in Seatrade Europe to be held in Hamburg from October 29 – 31, 2003, as part of the DTCM stand.

Dubai Maritime City will include a sector for ship design and manufacture and will offer the infrastructure required by key marine and maritime related industries. It will be the world's largest maritime development, on a man-made peninsula measuring 25 million square feet. Located between Dubai's Port Rashid terminal and Dubai Drydocks, it will be connected to the mainland by a causeway.

Dubai Maritime City will be the hub for maritime businesses from six large and diverse sectors including marine services, marine management, product marketing, marine research and education, recreation, ship design and manufacturing.

The exhibitor profile includes ship builders and repairers, marine equipment manufacturers and suppliers, classification societies, cruise ports, ship agents, cruise and ferry lines and cruise associations. These are included in the sectors targeted by Dubai Maritime City.

More than 250 companies from 31 countries exhibited to more than 2,400 visitors at the first Seatrade Europe held two years ago. — (menareport.com)
