Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has issued an administrative decision for the launch of two new organizational units in the Municipality called the Department of Markets and the Department of Abattoirs.
The new departments were formed by dividing the Markets and Abattoirs Department. The decision also entrusted the Director General of Dubai Municipality with issuing necessary decisions to approve detailed organizational structure and job specifications for the new departments.
Sheikh Hamdan also issued an order appointing Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al-Jaziri as the Director of the Department of Markets. Al-Jaziri has been serving as the Assistant Director of the Administrative Affairs Department. He joined the Municipality in 1985 as Assistant Head of Trade Licenses Section.
Director General of the Dubai Municipality Qassim Sultan issued a decision for changing the post of Humaid Saeed Al-Marri from Director of Markets and Abattoirs Department to Director of Abattoirs Department.
Al-Marri joined the Municipality in 1986 as Chief Co-ordinator of the Mechanical Abattoir. Later he became the Manager of the Abattoir. He also served as Assistant Director of the Markets and Abattoirs Department before being appointed as its Director in 2000. — (menareport.com)
