The Emirates Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that its new eco-friendly rail-bus vehicle is a 3D-printed model made from recyclable materials, making it a certified eco-friendly vehicle.

The rail-bus can accommodate approximately 40 passengers, including 22 seats, and will operate entirely on a solar-powered system.

This new project highlights Dubai’s goals toward environmental sustainability and smart mobility with its eco-friendly and autonomous system.

Notably, RTA unveiled the initial design at the World Government Summit 2025. The design features a gold and black exterior with two rows of orange seats, as well as space for disabled passengers.

Furthermore, RTA’s new rail-bus aligns with key UAE initiatives, including the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy, Dubai's Zero-Emissions Public Transport Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy 2030.
