The value of land transactions climbed by 45.45 per cent in 2005 to Dh32.01 billion, up from the previous year's Dh22.87 billion, according to the Dubai Lands Department. The Lands Department has recently established a new division to assess the value of each piece of land and property which will be the benchmark for the sales transaction, Gulf News reported.
