Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit recently suggested the unification of Turkish and Greek gas pipelines, as part of a wider plan to transport Caucasian and Central Asian natural gas to markets within the European Union (EU), Anadolu Agency reported.
Ecevit spoke at a summit meeting of heads of state from EU member and candidate countries. Ecevit urged EU members to expend their support for Turkey in its fight against terrorism. — (menareport.com)
