The Palestinian Authority is conducting talks with Jordanian and Egyptian Ministers of Electricity over connecting the Palestinian electricity network with the Jordanian and Egyptian networks after the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, reported Al-Hayat .
Arab states have delayed connecting its electricity supply with the Palestinian network since the latter is connected to the Israeli electrical system. As a precondition to joining the United Arab Electricity Network Project, the Palestinians must be disconnected from the Israeli network.
Israel provides the Gaza Strip area with 105 megawatts of electricity, while the domestic electricity consumption in this area stands at 150 megawatts. — (menareport.com)
