Egypt-Germany trade exchanged totaled $2.11 billion (EGP 33.72 billion) during the first six months of 2020, Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea said in a July 21st statement.
This amount included $290 million (EGP 4.63 billion) worth of Egyptian exports, as well as $821 million (EGP 13.12 billion) imports.
Gamea elaborated that the top exports to Germany were construction materials, agricultural products, readymade clothes, in addition to chemicals and fertilizers.
The imports from Germany included engineering and electronic goods, as well as medical industries.
During the first nine months of 2019, the Egyptian-German trade exchange value reached $3.62 billion (EGP 57.85 billion).
