The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) in Egypt has invited national and international consortiums to bid for the second fixed-line license. Offers are to be submitted on 19th June 2008 at 12:00 p.m. on NTRA premises at the Smart Village, the body said in an official statement.
Bidding companies can get the license specifications and conditions booklet from the NTRA headquarters at the Smart village starting from Thursday 13th March 2008. Bidding companies have to pay US$10,000 for the booklet and have to submit an auction guarantee of 10 million Egyptian pounds (some US$2 million.)
The NTRA has also announced that an enquiry session will be held on Monday 21st April 2008 on NTRA premises at the Smart Village.
