Egypt's Minister of Electricity Hassan Younis has recently met with a technical delegation from the Comoros Islands to discuss timetable and executive programs drawn up by the Middle Egyptian Company for Electricity Distribution.

The distribution upgrade programs in the Comoros Islands are expected to cost $ 2.5 million. Both sides discussed the possibility of establishing a joint company with equal share of investment to maintain transport and power lines.

Discussions also focused on the supply of locally produced electrical equipment to meet the needs of the power sector.
