Egyptian Electricity companies collect $885 million in government debts

Electricity distribution companies in Egypt have collected 4.1 billion Egyptian Pounds ($885 million) in debts from various government enterprises and authorities, reported Al Alam El Youm. Minister of Electricity Hassan Younes stated that the ministry is taking significant measures in settling the outstanding debts owed to the electricity companies in order to strengthen their shares before their planned offering to anchor investors and employee shareholder associations. — (menareport.com)
