Egyptian government targets 25 percent growth in telecommunication sector

The Egyptian Minister of Telecommunication and Information, Ahmed Nadheef, revealed a governmental plan to accelerate the inflow of investments into the local telecommunication sector, which is considered one of the most revenue generating sectors in the country, reported Al-Watan . The plan aims to draw foreign currency into the Egyptian telecommunication sector, and raise its profits by 17 to 25 percent per annum. Presently, investments in this sector are valued 1.1 billion Egyptian Pounds ($237 million). — (menareport.com)
