Egypt's trade balance deficit shrinks

Egypt's trade balance deficit went down by 13% during the period between January and April 2004, hitting $ 1.290 billion against $ 2.467 billion in the same period last year.  

 

A report issued recently by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry on Egypt's trade movement with world countries said the country's exports rose this year by 13%, amounting to $ 2.335 billion.  

 

According to this report, imports increased by 2%, reaching $3.625 billion compared to $3.547 billion in the same period last year. (menareport.com)
