ALBAWABA - Elon Musk abruptly ended their agreement for Don Lemon, a veteran CNN anchor, to broadcast a talk program exclusively on X, formerly known as Twitter.

On Wednesday, Lemon made the cancellation public, saying that Musk had called off the collaboration only a few hours after recording an interview that would have appeared in the first episode of the show. According to reports, Musk texted Lemon, saying, "contract terminated."

Speaking about his recent conversation with former President Donald Trump, Musk disclosed during the interview that Trump did the majority of the talking and did not ask for financial backing for his campaign. Along with saying he wouldn't give Trump money for his legal fees, Musk also hinted that he was open to supporting a different candidate in the future—a move away from President Biden.

In response to rumors that he took drugs, Musk said he did not abuse drugs and that he was prescribed ketamine to treat a "negative chemical state." He highlighted his intense work schedule, saying that he usually worked sixteen hours a day.

Musk denied abusing ketamine and stated that he takes a small amount infrequently. Ketamine has also been used by other celebrities, including Matthew Perry, Chrissy Teigen, and Sharon Osborne, for similar purposes.

But when asked about his purported support of an antisemitic conspiracy theory on X, the former Twitter, Musk was obviously agitated.

Lemon voiced dissatisfaction with Musk's choice, pointing out that the tech tycoon's advocacy of free speech seems to preclude pointed questions from those who are similar to himself. Musk said that Lemon's approach to the show was similar to traditional media, which he considered unsuccessful, but he did not oppose the termination.

In spite of the setback, Lemon maintained his support for free expression and declared that he still intended to broadcast the Musk interview on X and YouTube. In January, Musk's business first revealed the chat show agreement with Lemon, as part of X's plans to diversify into video content and draw well-known hosts.
