Emirates Airline will increase frequencies to Manila and Osaka this week. The carrier will fly daily between its Dubai hub and Osaka's Kansai International Airport, up from its current four-a-week services.
Emirates will also add two more flights to Manila on March 29, bringing its total number of services to the Philippines to 10 per week.
Japanese visitors to Dubai jumped from 24,602 in 2001, to 30,319 in 2002, and the number of Japanese tour operators featuring Dubai in their programs has also doubled, from 63 in 1998-1999 to 127 in 2002-2003.
Earlier this month, Emirates announced that it will start passenger services to Shanghai from 10 April, and introduce six-a-week non stop services to Melbourne to supplement its current daily service via Singapore. The airline also has plans to double its current daily Sydney services to 14 flights a week. — (menareport.com)
